How our owner-operated desktop backup utility handles Google Drive access and backup data.

1. Operator and purpose

VELNEEX operates this utility for its own business backup and recovery purposes. For inquiries, contact velneex.agency@gmail.com.

2. Google user data accessed

The desktop app may request the Google Drive permissions selected by the account holder in Google's OAuth consent screen. The intended operations are to create folders, upload and list encrypted backup archives, read file metadata, verify completed uploads, and download archives for restoration. It does not need access to Gmail messages or Google Contacts. Exact access is limited by the scopes granted during authorization.

3. Use of Google user data

Google Drive access is used only to maintain and restore encrypted business backups in the account holder's chosen Drive account. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or training AI models.

4. Storage, encryption and security

Backup content is encrypted locally using rclone crypt before uploading. Temporary unencrypted exports may be created and processed locally on the authorized device while preparing backups. OAuth tokens are stored within the local rclone configuration; this informational website does not collect Google OAuth tokens, passwords, or backup files. The operator is responsible for securing the local computer, encryption passwords, credentials, and access to the Google Drive account.

5. Sharing and disclosure

VELNEEX does not sell or share Google user data with advertisers or unrelated third parties. Encrypted files are stored in Google Drive as the designated hosting provider, subject to Google's own applicable terms and policies. No Google user data is used to train AI models.

6. Retention, deletion and revocation

Backups are kept according to the owner's configured retention choices, or until manually deleted. Removing the app's Google access can be done through Google Account security settings. The owner can delete encrypted backups from Drive and remove local OAuth tokens and copies. Deleting an online backup does not automatically delete separate offline copies.

7. Your choices and contact

The Google account holder chooses whether to authorize access and can revoke permission at any time. For access, correction, or deletion requests concerning this private utility, contact velneex.agency@gmail.com.

8. Changes

Any material change to the app's Google Drive access or this policy will be reflected by an updated policy and effective date.
